Between the Rain

She paints a picture in her eyes.
A thousand colors,
But before they’re seen, she runs.
And they fade to black and white.

Between the rain,
The dreams she chases,
They escape her,
So she stands to say…

That she ain’t running anymore.
She ain’t running anymore.
Even though, they seek to seize her dreams,
This time, she’ll stand for what she believes,
Cause there’s nowhere left to run.

She paints a picture in her mind.
A thousand colors,
But before they dry, she hides.
And the silence fills her life.

Between the rain,
Those faces fade,
To masks that hide,
The truth away.

But she ain’t running anymore.
She ain’t running anymore.
Even though, they seek to seize her dreams,
This time, she’ll stand for what she believes,
Cause there’s nowhere left to run.

She paints a picture in her heart.
A thousand dreams,
But before they’re seen she runs
Cause she just can’t seem to sleep…
Or dream anymore.

But this time the sun,
Shines through the rain,
And she’s had enough,
So she stands to say…

That she ain’t running anymore.
She ain’t running anymore.
Even though, they seek to seize her dreams,
This time, she’ll stand for what she believes,
Cause there’s nowhere left to run.

Even though, they seek to seize her dreams,
This time, she’ll stand for what she believes,
Cause there’s nowhere left to run.
